POLTERGEIST: At-work resistance for Palestine
*This post was published quickly to provide suggestions for continuing global strikes. Feedback/suggestions/copy edits are welcome and may be incorporated post-publishing. Thank you for resisting white supremacy's perfectionism with me.
As we fight for a new world not dominated by white supremacist terrorist powers, we must help one another survive under capitalism. Surviving to see the new world we're fighting for requires resilience—and americans' perspective on resilience is far too individualized for us to understand the real scope of our role in it.
This is the intentional design of the current system. If your body sighs heavily upon seeing the word "resilience," I understand. It's my belief "you are so resilient" is not a platitude we should offer each other one-on-one.
As humanity, collectively, we are resilient. We are meant to step in for one another, support each other, and alleviate one another's challenges and misfortunes. While our Palestinian siblings including Bisan, Motaz, and Plestia fight for their lives, we must take on the burdens they cannot.
