About GRAY MORALE
The writer and medium behind HAUNT uses the pseudonym GRAY MORALE.
They are a white-privileged/queer/trans/disabled artist of Appalachian and southern gothic experience. Deeply preoccupied with human patterns, they write, research, and study their way through the thoughts that haunt them.
Gray wants to lay bare their own deconstruction of capitalist indoctrination, with the aim of holding reverence for humanity's healing process. They believe that many of the issues haunting us today rise up from the past—and that even if those issues seem beyond our control, they are subject to our influence.
With Porch Light Peer Support, Gray hopes others might benefit from the peer perspective they can offer, informed by:
- Coursework for trauma recovery coaching (to be completed in 2025),
- Discovering neurodiversity later in life,
- Finding support for medical transition outside of one's family of origin,
- Navigating the marketing industry for a decade,
- Uprooting the trauma of white supremacy as a white-privileged person,
- And undergoing eight years of trauma therapy for CPTSD.
